Bayonetta PS3 gets a European patch, loading times soar
Once you complete the 4.5Gb install, your loading time woes should be a thing of the past!.
Sega did not come out with any official news on this topic but apparently the patch popped up this morning so the news reported by 4 Gamer was proven valid. Dutch tweaking site Tweakers.net got news from Sega Holland that it was Sony who provided the patch which might explain the lack of real press releases.
In any case, early reports in the Bayonetta forums indicate a gain in both loading time and frame-rate performance.
