Football* is ‘big’ and especially in Belgium. Not only do we have a great football tradition with loads of (lesser) known international players, but we have some of the worlds most passionate spectators who go through great lengths in order to attend all important matches. BUT, my dear friends, there is always that 1 match which is far more important than others, even if it’s only a ‘friendly testmatch’ without any real consequences…. Belgium vs The Netherlands. Well, for the Belgians at least. The Netherlands prefer a nice game against Germany.

But we don’t really care for ‘zee djermans’, we care about our ‘Red Devils’ and thanks to one of their main sponsors, Playstation.be, we were able to give away 40 class A+ tickets for ‘that match which simply most Belgians just have to see’. We were of to an excellent start but alas, because of an unfortunate misunderstanding, 2 winners weren’t able to get in to see the game. But don’t despair, we’re thinking of something to make it up to them. Other than that, some people still don’t have cellular (or mobile) phones, which made it difficult (even impossible) to reach f1do and his cute girlfriend (pic on the left). Moving on, the second picture was taken outside the stadium (notice the enthusiasm !).

And as you can see, it appears that our winners are more or less representative for the majority of Fragland visitors: both young and old(er), boys and… quite a lot of girls.
But let’s not get carried away as our young friend bASH (15 years old) did, trying to seduce one of our girl-gamers Stridje (19 years of age, brownhaired) who brought Julie along (also 19, blond)… we wish him lot’s of luck ;-)

It soon became clear as we sat down that we were all in the right mood, everybody started to shout and sing along with the majority of the crowd. And of course things got really out of control when Wesley Sonck scored the first goal of the match !
