According to the rumour circuit, the UbiSoft Montpellier studio, run by Michel Ancel (the father of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil), has started work on a sequel to the critically acclaimed BG&E.

The reason why UbiSoft ordered a sequel, despite the poor sales of the first game (a real shame!), is the fact that Ancel was supposedly angry about Rayman's Raving Rabbids.

RRR was originally meant to be a traditional platforming game, until one of the developers came up with the idea to use the Wii controller in a party game, as a ways of comic relief. Ancel had nothing to do with it. He was only mentioned as an artist, since he thought of Raving Rabbids.

Ancel wasn't happy with the decision to make RRR into a Wii game, and so he threatened to resign if he didn't get carte blanche for his next project (being Beyond Good & Evil 2)

Of course, this is just a rumour, so don't be surprised if this message would turn out false.
