Big Huge Games saved by 38 Studios
The RTS/RPG developer Big Huge Games has at last found a savior for their cause in the form of 38 Studios, the entertainment company founded by baseball star Curt Schilling.
Everything BHG related was taken over from their last owner (THQ), so that also means all the work on the unnamed next-gen RPG they were working on and all the older rights to Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends. It also seems that big names Brian Reynolds, Ken Rolston and Tim Train will stay at the company now.
So, what's next then for BHG? Apparently they are bound to be involved in the creation of an MMO based on the Copernicus IP, thought out by R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane, but 38 Studios doesn't seem to rule out that BHG might be returning to their older works as well.
