Bill Gates: new Windows in 2009
Windows Vista has barely celebrated his first birthday and daddy Bill is already announcing a younger brother.
During a philantropic congress for large companies, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said that the successor to the current Operating System will be ready in the course of next year:
It is believed that the new Windows will guarantee full compatibility between the pc, the cellular phone and that it will particularly focus on touchscreen applications for the 'desk of the future'. This of course rings a bell and reminds everybody of the Microsoft Surface technology.
If Bill says 'next year'... we expect a first commercial version somewhere during Q3 of 2010 :-)

"I'm superenthused about what it will do in lots of ways." It will "...be sometime in the next year or so that we'll have a new version," Gates said in response to a question from the audience.
It's no big secret that Microsoft would like to launch a new Operating System every three years. A few selected companies are already testing the new 'Windows 7'.It is believed that the new Windows will guarantee full compatibility between the pc, the cellular phone and that it will particularly focus on touchscreen applications for the 'desk of the future'. This of course rings a bell and reminds everybody of the Microsoft Surface technology.
