Bill Gates wants a Halo 3 release vs PS3 launch

Gamespot mentions some noteworthy quotes about the Xbox 360 from Microsoft guru Bill Gates in Time Magazine. The richest man on this planet says that Halo 3 will be released on Xbox 360 near (or even at the time) when Sony will launch its next-generation console Playstation 3.

So now we know for sure that a sequel to Halo 2 exists and that it definitely won't make it to the Xbox 360 launch in November this year. Next years spring is a lot more likely and around that time Sony will probably launch the PS3.
'Note to the hard-core faithful: the next version of Halo will not, repeat not, be ready in time for the launch of Xbox 360. It will be part of the all-important second wave next spring. It's perfect,' Gates says, radiant with bloodlust. 'The day Sony launches the PS3, and they walk right into Halo 3.'
It would benefit Microsoft if they could realise this plan but who really knows when the PS3 will launch? There are even rumours that it could be this Christmas.

Well, as a pure pc gamer I could be interested in Gears of War and Quake IV but the latter is coming on PC too so... and there are rumours that that will also be the case with Gears of War.

consoles are going beyond pcs now, since they are cheaper,easyer to use, and just for your enjoyable gaming unlike pcs which you would have to spend about 400 quid just to get doom 3 running at around 30fps, and then upgrade again next year. The only thing that pc got going for them is the mouse, and possibley the internet. Pc gaming is going to take a huge step back for the consoles, if it hasnt allready.
