Bioshock's Ken Levine working on new IP
The LA Times has received word from Take2 CEO Strauss Zelnick that Bioshock creator Ken Levine was stopped from working on Bioshock 2 in order to "free him up" so he could start looking into making something entirely new. A new IP that could turn into a franchise:
Quality is a matter of pride for Zelnick, who points to the company's relationship with top talent, including brothers Sam and Dan Houser, who run Rockstar, and Bioshock creator Ken Levine, who was freed from working on the sequel in order to produce an original title that could become another franchise.
Seeing as Levine's other big game, X-Com, is already a franchise, we can now be sure he isn't working on a new sequel for that. Hopefully we'll hear more at E3 about what he is working on.In other news:
