Blizzard denies talks with Microsoft about Xbox 720

Developer Blizzard, known from modest hits like World of Warcraft and Diablo, has denied their rumoured involvement with Microsoft for the upcoming Xbox 360 successor dubbed the Xbox 720.

In a post GDC chat with GameSpot a Blizzard rep was quite clear:

"In the Lunch with Luminaries discussion, Rob said that Microsoft occasionally bounces ideas off of us, with no specific reference to any possible future consoles," said the rep. "This should come as no surprise, as our games run on Microsoft's PC operating system. We aren't in discussions with Microsoft regarding any future consoles." (Emphasis added.)

Somehow this seems oddly familiar to the quote "We are no lovers, just good friends" or maybe I just need some coffee.
