Blizzard: new WoW content matter of urgency!
Things aren't going so well for Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft.
The latest figures have shown that the game is still rapidly losing players, again dropping 300,000 subscribers, making it at about 11.1 million paying subscribers. That's still all but bad, but Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime is convinced the development studio needs to take action. And that action will come in the form of more content:

That's still all but bad, but Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime is convinced the development studio needs to take action. And that action will come in the form of more content:
"As our players have become more experienced playing World of Warcraft over many years, they have become much better and much faster at consuming content," he recently said.
"And so I think with Cataclysm they were able to consume the content faster than with previous expansions, but that's why we're working on developing more content."
Yesterday, Morhaime made clear Blizzard’s response to this trend. The company pledged to flood the game with new content as a matter of urgency.

I think they have been at the top for far too long and they have gotten complacent, maybe this is what they need, that and less of people like Bobby Kotick telling them what to do.
