Bono asked against Mercenaries 2
A political group with to much time on their hands has asked Bono to help them in stopping the release of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. The U2 singer is part of a group who supplies funds to Pandemic Studio's, developers of the game.
The game takes place in Venezuela where you, as a player, have to kill a tyrant because he has taken control of the entire oil-industry in the area. Amongst others, president Chavez (you know, the Bush joker) has called the game a form of 'psychological warfare created by his opponents'.
Now the Venezuelan Solidarity Campaign has sent an open letter to all religious leaders and Bono where they ask for help against this 'greater evil' and want the production of the game to be stopped.
I expect some retaliation from Pandemic Studio's, some inside jokes put into the game for example.

Our concern is that this game will only deepen an already antagonistic relationship between the U.S. and Venezuelan governments. Millions of Venezuelans fear an invasion from the U.S.; knowing that a company that works for the U.S. military has created a game in which their country is completely destroyed will increase those concerns.

Wake up people. We have to take a stand on this stuff and stop using the rest of the world as a "backyard." We are part of the world not the "King of the World."
All the best.

You hardly ever see people complain about movies when their countries being blown up or whatever else is happening, always the games industry being picked on.
