Bourne turns EA
Many were disappointed by the adaptation of Bourne that Sierra suggested last summer. When Sierra/Infogrames then were dropping many of their titles not too long ago, Ludlum Entertainment saw its chance to reaquire what was originally theirs; the rights to Bourne games.
Now these rights in turn have been taken over by none other than Electronic Arts. EA was quick to assign Starbreeze Studios to start working on the first Bourne title. The Swedish based studio is mainly known from The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay and The Darkness.
Jeffrey Weiner, chairman and CEO of Ludlum Entertainment (which holds the rights to all of Ludlum's work), is enthousiastic:
Let's just hope Electronic Arts don't make the same mistakes Sierra did.

"Robert Ludlum made thrilling stories accessible and real. EA has brought that same level of realism to the gaming world. We are confident EA‘s unparalleled production ability and marketing reach will establish the Jason Bourne Series in games as powerfully and successfully as it exists in books and film."
