Bungie: Halo 3 movies > Halo 2 movies
Posted on Tuesday, 8 May 2007 by Devilke, source: bungie.net
Halo 2 may have been a top game, both in game pleasure and in sales numbers, it stays a public secret that the game was released too early. That was noticeable if you looked at the abrupt and unfinished ending.
The movies of Halo 3 will stay in-engine, but they will be a lot nicer than the predecessor. That's a promise Bungie made:
The people working on the cinematics get more time, more resources and better tools so we may have great expectations for Halo 3 and it's in-between sequences. However, we'll have to wait for a playable version to see if they kept their promises.
The movies of Halo 3 will stay in-engine, but they will be a lot nicer than the predecessor. That's a promise Bungie made:
"...we simply didn't have the time or resources to make the cinematics the way we wanted them to be. They were compromised by deadlines and resources and while the results were heroic and herculean achievements of hard work and talent, they simply weren't as polished or pretty as we wanted them to be," he says.
With Halo 3, they have artists and designers who've worked on epic Hollywood projects like The Lord of the Rings and King Kong, not to mention a former Industrial Lights & Magic guy (read: Star Wars) working out the details on an "amazing space battle."

In other news, Halo 2 PC just got awarded 66% in the latest PC Gamer UK.
So if ever there was a reason to pick up Vista...it's not Halo 2 PC.
NINJAFISH
Today, Halo 2, is a game with dated graphics thats been played to death over the past 3 years. If UK PC Gamer rated this rerelease of a 3 year old FPS anything higher then 70% they would be fools.
Vexxed
IMO Halo 2 was easily one of the best Xbox games and one of the best FPS's of its year and you are all just bitter because it has taken 3 years to come to your beloved PC's.
Just go and buy a X360 so you can play Halo 3 in a few months instead of waiting another 3 years to start bitching about that like you know your going to :P
