Bungie creating own engine for new Activision IP
2010 is really becoming the year of changes for Bungie. After announcing their brake up with Microsoft and move to Activision | Blizzard back in april, Develop now got the scoop on another big change at the company.
After years of licensing the Unreal engine, Bungie will now develop its own engine and use it for their up and coming fresh IP that Activision will publish.
Studio communications manager Brian Jarrad had the following to say:
I really liked their Myth engine back in the day when they whipped up some nice 3D out of nowhere so I'm curious to see what they can do more than a decade later.
