Bungie is having trouble keeping its mouth shut

Posted on Monday, 8 May 2006 by Zwan, source: Bungie
We don't know whether Bungie will announce Halo 3 or not at the coming E3 trade show (we expect them to), but they're very anxiously awaiting the show, according to some phrases in their diary.

"As for our next project, it continues apace. Lots of progress in every department, from UI to Animation to Engineering and of course, all the way back to audio".

"There are things to see in every department, some rough and ready and some astonishingly smooth, polished and even playable.

"It's really making progress in an exciting and fascinating way. And I can't wait to share that with you properly. The level of secrecy is every bit as oppressive and confining for us as it is for you. Much, much bigger update next week. See you then!"

It's clear they can't wait to tell everyone their latest project. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a Halo 3 announcement that will blow our socks off.

It's kinda funny with Halo-fans. Imo, Halo and certainly Halo2 did not bring anything new to the gamers. All it did was give gamers a reason to buy an Xbox, rofl.

I follow you completely, they were both the biggest proof that with enough marketing/buzz a lot of people can appreciate your product.

Can't disagree on that. Though I haven't played Halo 2 a lot (still need to find it somewhere cheap), it felt a lot like the first one, which I thought was only an above average shooter.

I completely agree with all of you, I thought Halo was going to be a new revolution in games... But it was just like any other game...

It's not a revolution, but that doesn't stop it from being a damn good game. I never was a huge fan (but still a fan) of the first, but the 2nd was much improved.

I think most people will agree that the multiplayer in Halo 2 mainly contributes to what makes it such a fun and popular game.

Halo 3 will be awesome. Don't doubt it for a second.
