CEO Activision: $199 for consoles
What should you do to reach the mass-market with your console? Microsoft and Sony are probably dying to know. However, they certainly won't agree with the CEO of Activision.
Mister Bobby Kotick says the companies should drop the prices of the Xbox360 and Playstation 3 to $199 in the next two years. Reason for this is the price of the Nintendo Wii, currently $250.
According to him, the price is the most important aspect for a consumer and the fact that a console is more or less technically complex doesn't really make a difference.
He also thinks the price of the Wii might fall to $129 in the next few years. Since Nintendo can barely handle the demand, that will surely not happen right away.

But lowering the price of the consoles is a step in the right direction, no doubt about that!
