The next game that was shown at the Games Convention for the first time is Caesar IV. We've put six screenshots in our database of this game, you can also watch a trailer at the official website.

The most eyecatching is the step towards full 3D for this citysim. The developer is Tilted Mill, ex-employees of the now defunct Impressions Games so actually you can say the series' creators are working on this fourth Caesar game.

Players lay out each city, road by road and building by building, making sure citizens have all they need to remain healthy, happy and safe from barbarian threats. As the city grows from a simple village to a cosmopolitan metropolis, so too do the challenges it presents. The ultimate goal is to rise among the political ranks of the empire, and become Caesar.

With full 3D presentation, and all-new realistic citizen behaviors, Caesar IV is sure to please fans of the series as well as strategy gamers in general.
Caesar IV will be finished in 2006.

Excellant, Ceaser 3 was brill but i hope they dont fall into the trap with Sim City 4 where goin 3d was basicly the biggest difference while the main gameplay remaining the same.

hope they add some sort of decent war system to fight of barbarians, like have to build your own defences and booby traps etcetera when they storm your walls or something rome total war style but purely defensive, no setllers crap
