Call of Duty 4 also on PC

Although a trailer was already released so everyone knew it was coming, Activision and Infinity Ward thought it might be nice to send out an official statement to announce the development of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The real news, however, is that the franchise will return to PC

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is in development for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows® PC. The title is scheduled for release this fall and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

Erm...

This has been known for over a month :P

And the "Franchise" never left the PC. CoD3 was made by a console developer, CoD2 was made by a multi-platform developer.

CoD5 (if the system continues at its current state) will be console only.

Drofder: the OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE was sent out only now, something I clearly stated in my post.

The Call of Duty "franchise" left PC when CoD3 went console-only while COD 4 (note the "4") will be console as well as PC again...

I know mate, but the way it is worded "CoD4 also on PC".

We knew it was on PC before we knew which consoles it was on.
And my take on why it has never left PC is due to the 2 different companies.
My personal opinion is that it should be considered 2 franchises, IW and Treyarch.
