Call of Duty goes Collectors' Edition

Much like what seems to become the new standard, also Activision now hops on the Collectors' Edition train. Just like EA's Mirror's Edge and Dead Space, Call of Duty World at War will now receive a special jacket.

The limited edition box for the upcoming installment in the Call of Duty series will contain:

The game itself
A special World at War branded canteen
Availability of the FG-42 machinegun from day 1. A gun for which you normally have to spend quite some time to unlock.
One week where gained XP counts double (which week specifically is still unknown)
A colored clan tag for multiplayer sessions
A stylish tin box to stow the aformentioned

The PC gamer will be set back $70 for this edition. The Xbox 360 user's pockets will have to be $10 deeper, as the Collectors' Edition will retail for $80 for him.

For now there is still no news for a PS3 Collectors' Edition.
