Capcom cancels 18 games

Posted on Saturday, 19 April 2003 by Speed, source: Fragland
PS2.IGN is reporting that Capcom's sales have been all but terrific and therefor the company has decided to cancel no less than 18 upcoming titles. No worries though, as they've got still 80 under development
To prevent sales issues from marring future financial reports, the company has decided to look more closely at potential profit when starting game development. This new policy will take effect with a stoppage of development on 18 titles. As a result, Capcom will take a special 5 billion yen loss on its statements for the financial year that ended in March.

Don't take this to mean you won't be able to get your regular dose of Capcom gaming, though. Even with the 18 titles no longer in the pipeline, the company still has over 80 titles on the way. We presume that any game you had on your radar will still arrive in full form
