Capcom reveils new strategy game
Capcom has unveiled some info about their new RTS Plunder. The game is being developed by the not so known Certain Affinity and will be released on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
In Plunder you're at the help of a pirate vessel and will try to turn both the seas as well as the mainland to your bloody pirate hand. In the end the idea is to capture as much gold as possible to be able to buy upgrades for your ship.
Max Hoberman, boss of Certain Affinity, already finds that the game goes "beyond next-generation, from 3D to 6D". He also adds that the "cutting-edge hex-based environments make traditional games weak".
Online the game will be playable for eight self-declared pirates on 25 available multiplayer maps. Also offline you'll be able to play but with up to four players.
Plunder is scheduled for release this Summer. A pricetag isn't known yet, but Capcom says it will be "lower than most MMOs' monthly dues".
