Chinese will spend a lot of money in 2006

Pearl Research took a look at the Chinese game market and decides the country will spend more than 760 million dollars on gaming in 2006.

Even more impressive is the fact they expect 95% of that money to be spend on online games, a section that's growing enormously:

Allison Luong, Managing Director of Pearl Research, commented, "The Chinese online games market is expected to cross the $1 billion mark by 2009, driven by the launch of innovative and compelling content, the addition of new Internet users and a growing casual games market."

There are a lot of Chinese people and many aren't gaming yet, but the internet penetration is growing very fast so these predictions aren't unrealistic.
