City of Heroes servers shut down by hacker

Over at EvilAvatar I found an interesting post that has word that NCSoft's City of Heroes had a bad case of hacking. Apparantly, a hacker managed to shut down several servers and even use the broadcast system to redirect people to his website
The official response from NCSoft is extremely brief :

Last night, a hacker somehow managed to shut down multiple City of Heroes servers. He also used the admin broadcast channel to direct people to his website and randomly kicked individuals on other servers

The issue is now completely resolved.
Customer data and its security was not compromised in any way during the incident that occurred
