Codemasters seems to love the taste of the MMO genre, because they just announced thay they would like to release two unknown MMO's on the consoles of Microsoft and Sony. A couple of months ago they also announced that they would be publishing the sci-fi MMO Jumpgate Evolution. If the two new MMO's would be a completely new franchise or would be based upon their current MMO's is currently not known.
"The time is right for some good console MMO games. There's two titles that we're really interested in for taking to console right now and that's something I'd like to see happen in the next year or so, but it's got to be the right game,"

Sadly it seems that there are still a couple of obstacles to compete with current console MMO's as Final Fantasy XI and Phantasy Star Universe. The biggest problem is Microsoft and Sony, who would demand a large share of the revenue.
"It's got to be the right business model. It's more difficult because the first-parties take a share of the revenue – and it's quite significant share,"

It seems that console gamers will be able to play a lot of MMO's in the near future, because besides these two, we can also look forward to Huxley, Age of Conan and The Agency!
