Collector's Edition for Warhammer Online

After the disappointing news that the game was delayed, i now have something more positive to tell about Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. A countdown timer just revealed the Collector's Edition on the official website.

As with many recent titles, this MMORPG will also receive a special edition. But unlike the content of many of these editions, some of the items that are included will truly be a collector's item! The content of this edition is the following:

  • Two miniature statues portraying Greenskin warboss Grumlok and shaman Gazbag.
  • A hardback graphic novel called Prelude to War which is 128 pages thick.
  • A book containing 224 pages of concept art.
  • An ingame item called Librams of Insight, which can be used three times to give an experience boost.
  • Twelve bonus quests, which gives the player exclusive items and titles.
  • Twelve extra heads, so that your character can look different then the normal players.
  • European players will also receive an exclusive mouse pad.

The price of this all will be 80 euros, which in my opinion is a nice price for what you get in return!

I could care less about the delay, I just want to see an excellent MMO on release day (whenever it might be)... And for sure I will buying this special edition and will be participating in open beta. I cant wait! If they deliver all they are promising, then WoW doesnt stand a chance.

well don't forget that the release is still a while off. In the meantime, Blizzard can keep adding new features to WoW. Which could mean that WAR is less attractive for the WoW players when it is about to be released :)
