Counter-Strike creator unveils new game
Counter-Strike co-creator Mihn Le has finally resurfaced after years of living in the game developer underground and what's more, he announced his new game called Tactical Intervention.
Le joined Valve to work on Counter-Strike as a professional rather than a hobbyist and worked on Counter-Strike 2 for a while until that was shelved. Le then left Valve on good terms because he didn't want to be pressured into a new project and moved to his parents' basement where he worked on a project that never got to see the light of day.
Ever since the last project he has been financed by South Korean IT company FIX Korea to develop his new offspring Tactical Intervention.
He shared some of his motivations for making the game:

He shared some of his motivations for making the game:
"I enjoyed Counter-Strike," Minh recalls, "but I wanted to have my own game. I was never able to put in all the cool features I wanted because the people who played Counter-Strike would [complain] about all the changes. They liked the game as it is."
"I hated how powerful snipers were in Counter-Strike," said Minh. "They really unbalanced the game."
The game will run on a modified Source engine and should turn out to be the game Le wanted Counter-Strike to be. It's also nearly ready for beta testing and should hit the shelves 'later this year'."I hated how powerful snipers were in Counter-Strike," said Minh. "They really unbalanced the game."
