Croteam making Serious Sam 3 and new game

Posted on Monday, 14 May 2007 by Ryuken, source: Seriously!
Fansite Seriously! has gotten word of an article in the upcoming Croatian GamePlay magazine about Serious Sam 3 and a completely new game from Croteam.

The May 2007 issue of Croatia's Gameplay magazine has an 8-page interview with Davor Hunski, Alen Ladavac, and Roman Ribaric of Croteam and images of Serious Sam 3, Serious Engine 3, and Croteam's next project. According to the interview, the next project is a "military tactical-action shooter" set in the present, featuring "in your face" fast-paced modern combat action and think-before-you-shoot gameplay. The game will make use of Serious Engine 3. Images of the game mostly just show settings and character, weapon, and vehicle models.

More info about these games will probably pop up during the next few weeks, even with E3 gone it's that time of the year again. :)

Serious Sam 2 was given a pretty unfair kicking IMO, I had a complete blast on the game - especially in co-op mode.

Looking forward to Sam x3.

I dunno the game had little re-play value in my group of friends. We beat the co-op once but run and gun gets a littler boring after a while.

All I was stating was that SS2 got a pretty unfair bashing from the majority of gamers out there, and I'm still not quite sure why. Croteam put together a fun game and a very impressive engine that still looks pretty darn good today, so it's hard to contemplate what a Serious Sam 3 engine would look like, needless to say I'm sure we will all be blown away when we get to see it for the first time.

Yeah but pretty graphics do not make a game. Unfortunately all the creative talent of this team was focusing on making "messed up" enemies and some times humorous catch phrases. I think I had more fun trying to pass some of the puzzles.

I love serious sam. Why some people couldn't see the value of this game is beyond me. Maybe it's because i'm a pc gamer exclusively and haven't had exposure to all the games that are supposed to be superior. However i have played the consolegames casually and just can't see what all the hype is about there. the graphics are inferior, the size and features of the games seem limited to me. Hey look! If ya want a good story, read a damn book. I don't play first personshooters for the story line necessarily. I play them for fast action shooting. the only reason serious sam wasn't bigger is mainly because it wasn't released on those stupid game boxes that all the techno-challenged are playing. I want serious sam 3 and so do many people I know
