Cryptic announces a... superhero MMO
Cryptic Studios, the developer of City of Heroes (went to NCsoft), and the recently canceled Marvel Universe Online, announced ... a new superheroes MMO. What a surprise!
Magazine Game Informer gets the scoop of this new MMORPG, called Champions Online. The game is being developed for both pc and consoles. We can presume that this is actually the further development of the Marvel Universe Online project but without the license. That game was supposed to be with superheroes, a MMO and supported both pc and Xbox 360 before it was suddenly stopped.
Champions Online will have to beat up against City of Heroes that, according to several rumours, is being adjusted for the Xbox 360. Whatever happens, it's good news for people who love muscled man in tights.
