Crytek officially announces Crysis

Developer Crytek and publisher EA games officially announced Crysis this morning. Crysis is a much anticipated FPS for PC from the creators of Far Cry. The game will be using the graphically advanced CryEngine 2. Among other things, Crysis will feature adjustable weapons and armour. Furthermore it is planning on making the combat far more tactical than we are used to.

"Our focus has always been on innovating gameplay and technology, and bringing new experiences to gamers through our original intellectual properties," says Cevat Yerli, CEO & President of Crytek. "Crysis will be a showcase for that commitment and will offer gamers from all over the world the next step in FPS gaming."
