Crytek takes over Free Radical
After giving the boot to many employees as a twisted Christmas present there is finally some good news for Free Radical.
Crysis developer Crytek has purchased the studio in one 'smooth, quick, efficient and fantastic' deal according to Rob Yescombe who brought the news to 1Up.
What the deal exactly means is still unclear at this point but in due time we will know if the studio will be able to hire back some (or all) of the 140 employees that got laid off between Christmas and New Years Eve of last year. The future of Timesplitters 4 also remains uncertain.
