Curious about Black & White 2 ?
Now that everybody has played HalfLife 2, Knights of Honor, Armies of Exigo, Burnout 3 etc over and over again during the Xmas period - it's time once again to look what the future has in store :)
Frequent Fragland visitors know that we have made it a good habit of keeping a good eye out for developers and games that have an 'added value' or have that bit of 'je-ne-sais-quoi' :)
One of those games is Black & White 2, from the infamous Lionhead Studios. An ex-colleague of ours, Sam, is the so-called 'Community Pet' for B&W2. He wrote down a couple of interesting facts, hints and tips on the game, along with his personal -and honest- opinion on the recent wave of 'Strategy' games.
I feel like sending him a copy of Knights of Honor, the poor bastard ;). Anyway, it's an entertaining read, with info on Black & White 2, a *possible* Fable sequel and insider gossip on co-workers at Lionhead :)
Head on over there !

On the other hand, some games were quite disappointing to say the least and the recent developments in the strategy games’ genre don’t appeal to me at all to be honest! Restrictions on what and where you can build; boring mechanics in long lasting chases after flags or hot points and the worst design decision since the day, ehm a while; very silly limitations on the number of units you can build due to a silly mechanic called ‘Command Points’!
It's everything I personally dislike in those games. And I am not talking about what a game states to be on the back of the DVD-case; I am actually talking about the actual gameplay itself! I surely hope Black and White 2 will be nothing like this, because that would be, well, "a bummer".

AHA ! An anomymous assissin probe ... a feeble attempt to talk scandal about a game that he probably has not played :-)
Identify yourself, poor man - for we then may be able to stick a name upon Stupidity itself :D
