DC Universe Online free-to-play as of October
Sony Entertainment has confirmed DC Universe Online will become free 2 play on PC and PS3 as of October.
Sony Online Entertainment-producer Lorin Jameson said in a new interview that this change of business model is due to a decrease in players, even if the game cost a whole lot more to develop that originally estimated:
Premium-players, gamers who spend more than $5 in the game, will get more character slots and bigger inventories, as well as higher overall limits.
Legendary players will be getting a ton of additional stuff including free DLC. This last option costs $15 a month.
