DS outplays PSP, says report
Posted on Sunday, 10 July 2005 by thondermonst, source: Pro-G
Wavemetrix, a company specialized in writing reports on what people think about products, has released a study that states that "DS is better than the PSP in every important area." How did they get to that conclusion? Apparently they have based their report on user opinions on a vast number of internet forums. How many and which forums exactly, they don't say.
After taking a look at the actual handhelds and their flaws, Wavemetrix also zoomed into the games available for DS and PSP. And here they really made some stupid mistakes. While saying that NFSU2 was one of the games that got a positive rating for the DS, the same game for the PSP gets rated negative. Funny thing is, there is no such thing as NFSU2 for the PSP, they probably mean NFS:Rivals. The list of games for the DS that, in the Wavemetrix report, got a positive score, also features a couple of titles that didn't get released yet. On the PSP-side they're seem to be lacking some titles. If you're concluding that product X is better than Y, be sure the facts are correct and complete.
So, although such a study could be interesting, it's very hard to take this one serious.
