Dark Ages of Camelot is a MMORPG being developed over at Mythic Entertainment and it's due for release in October 2001. The release date being in one year didn't stop Gamesdomain from posting a preview though[BLOCK]DAoC is quite large (British understatement). The "homelands" of Albion comprise a game area that is wonderful to behold and travel. And travel you must. Have no fear of feeling cramped in DAoC - this Beta section only makes up about a sixth of the final game, and the entire area can take over an hour to run across. Don't be put off by that size though, this isn't the bleak wilderness that some sections of Asheron's Call could be. Every area is being populated with distinct and varied creatures; if you can stop admiring some of the landscape to actually take note of them, that is. Areas around the cities of Camelot and Avalon teem with life (both good and bad) yet remote areas do indeed feel remote, with roads terminating in muddy paths that lead nowhere and not a Burger King to be seen for miles[/BLOCK]Like there were Burger Kings in the age of Camelot...
