Dark ages return, pastor requests games burning

Posted on Wednesday, 11 June 2008 by Speed, source: Dailypress
The 42-year-old pastor of Abyssinia Baptist Church, Richard Patrick, has proven you don't need to be a lawyer to be a full-blown moron.

The beloved pastor is thinking about setting up a rally where games and cd's he believes are bad for people can be burnt

"We are considering having something similar to a rally where parents and children can bring CDs and video games that they consider are destructive to the mind set of our youth and have a burning, just like they had a gun buyback last year."
Gun buyback <---> burning. I don't really see the similarity as where you tend to get money for the gun you bring back, all you get from the dear pastor's initiative is possibly burnt skin... And I haven't even said anything yet about the fact that this is pretty much like the book burnings from back in the Dark Ages.

I hope the EPA jumps on this. Burning all that plastic can't be healthy.
