Day of Defeat: Source should arrive this month

Players of Day of Defeat, the well known WW2 mod for Half-Life, will cry out in happyness. They have been waiting for the appearance of an adapted version which runs on Source.

A Steam-update seems to ensure us that the long wait will be over near the end of September:

Day of Defeat: Source will be released this month. While we're not quite ready to pin down the exact date of when it will be available to play, we are confident that it will happen in September. Once we do have an exact date and time for when the game will be activated, we'll let everyone know.

You will be able to buy it seperately via Steam, with or without a pre-load. Owners of the Silver or Gold package will get the mod for free. Let's just hope the Day of Defeat community is still active, because Valve made them wait just a little too long, in my opinion.
