Deadly violence in-game? Big no-no for German politicians
Politicians, you can't live with them... Period. In Germany, several protestors are trying to pass a new law. The law forbids games containing any form of violence with fatal outcome to be sold. This for the purpose of lowering children's exposure to violence.
The main component for video games, and television series and films for that matter, is an enemy that has to be defeated by his heroic counterpart. Even the famous German Krimis (detective series) involve solving a murder case.
Germany, at the moment, has one of the strictest laws concerning video games after the incident that took place in 2002. When a fanatic CS player killed 16 people, the game was banned from retail sale.

Scheuer added that while parents must take responsibility for the games their children play, the government should help less media-aware adults by bringing in a complete ban.
