With Red Alert 3 on the shelves for quite a while now, Electronic Arts is working on the first expansion to its well known RTS.

In Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising, the player can participate in four new campaigns; one for each faction. The fourth allegedly will expand on the events that made Yuriko, the Japanese telekinetic commando, what she is. Unit-wise there will be eleven novelties on the playing board, examples of these are the Desolator, the Cryo Legionaire and the Steel Ronin.

An additional Commander Challenge has been included in the game as well. In this series of 50 challenges the player will have to vanquish a plethora of enemy commanders.

To bind the story together Electronic Arts has made countless cutscene movies. For this they could once again call upon a star-filled cast, with legends like Malcolm McDowell, known from his roles in Heroes and A Clockwork Orange, and babes like Holly Valance, known from Australian soap series Neighbours. McDowell for one is positive:
The expansion will be distributed through digital download and can be run without Red Alert 3. The title should set you back about $20 and will be available come March.
