Free Radical Design, which was taken over by Crytek and is now rebranded as Crytek UK believes the CryEngine3 will eliminate such problems in the future:Hilton admitted that, in developing the PS3-exclusive FPS Haze, the studio “hit a few stumbling blocks”.

“I don’t think we’ve seen the best out of the PS3 at all,” added Hilton, “and I definitely think one of the best things about Crytek and the CryEngine is that we’re now in the best position to get the most out of the hardware.”
He said that no-one has pushed the PS3 as far as it can go, and believes the CryEngine 3 toolset gives the group a “great head start” in doing so.
