PC.IGN posted their impressions on Dominion Wars, the upcoming Star Trek title from Gizmo Games[BLOCK]The interface is pretty straightforward. You can select any of your ships with a single click. A readout of all of your ships' systems is available right there at the bottom of the screen, so you can see which ship needs your attention the most. Issuing orders is pretty simple. The "friendly" command ring lets you change shield orientation and power allocation (including powering down to avoid detection). There are orders for evasive maneuvers, escort duties and boarding actions. Four firing modes are available -- hold fire, fire at will (automatic), fire on mark (manual fire) and alpha strike, a massive shot with all weapons at full charge. You can subtarget systems on enemy ships (for taking out shields before boarding) and set your pursuit orientation and range[/BLOCK]
