Doom 3, unanimously praised for its out-of-this-world graphics (pun intended) and horrific atmosphere, but spit out by several, due to its very straight-forward approach. Whether you're for or against the game, no-one can neglect the great sales figures, nor the influence the game has had.

Due to the numerous already released mods the game is sure to have quite a long lifespan. To help mod builders even more, Id Software released the SDK mod tools yesterday.
