Dragon Quest X coming to Wii and Wii U in 2012
During the so-called Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary press event in Japan, Square-Enix announced that the tenth episode in the immensely popular RPG series Dragon Quest is heading towards Wii and Wii U.
Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes is the official name of the thing and producer Yosuke Saito (of amongst others, Nier) will take care of development alongside veteran Yuji Horii and designer Akira Toriyama.
They describe the game as an online RPG but reassured fans; you'll perfectly be able to play it solo. The trailer showed how monsters were killed by different troops and you'll of course be able to personalise your characters very extensively.
As said the game will also be playable on the upcoming Wii U, with improved graphics. You'll even be able to play in the same world as the Wii gamers so that nobody has to miss any of the fun, off- or online. On top of that they're also looking into the possibility to make it playable on the 3DS.
