Dress up your Xbox avatar
Pretty much every game these days makes use of achievements in one form or another. It improves the replayability of a game, and gives a reward for achieving various goals. A reward that can be seen by anyone visiting your online gamer profile.
Developer Rare says that in the future, besides achievements pur sang, also accessories and clothing items will be given as a prize. This way gamers, instead of gamerpoints, would receive pieces of clothing to dress up their Xbox avatars with for accomplishing a certain objective. It is mainly a bonus on top of the already in place achievements system. This would introduce an aspect of Xbox avatars that thus far hasn't really come into play yet. Since the introduction of Xbox avatars a year ago there have been some winter packs and a soccer shirt here and there, but aside from that there hasn't really been a possibility to customise the outfit of your avatar.
An interesting idea, personalisation and visualisation of performance are at least as important as a list of gamerpoints.
Producer Stacey Law didn't mention which specific games would implement this:
