E3 07: Wii Fit announced
Posted on Wednesday, 11 July 2007 by OptimusPrime, source: Fragland
The most peculiar 'game' at Nintendo's E3 Press Conference was Wii Fit. Introduced by Shigeru Miyamoto himself, Wii Fit is about getting in shape and losing weight but in a fun game form.
The game uses a new peripheral calle the Wii Balance Board which loaded with sensors that pick up any kind of pressure and so knows exactly what you are doing. This balance board is used in combination with the 40 activities, ranging from yoga, sit-ups, aerobics, stepping, heading and so forth, you can do in the 'game'.
The software will also keep track of you're general progress and you can compare this with everyone who uses the game on your Wii.
Gamers all around the world will perhaps be scratching their head. But this has the potential to become a million seller in the US alone where teenage overweight is becoming pandemic.
