E3 Booths: Eidos

Posted on Friday, 20 May 2005 by Speed, source: Fragland.net
Eidos doesn't have a real booth but rather an office where they show their upcoming games.
Here's an overview :

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend: Looks better than any Tomb Raider game ever. The interface seems to have improved a lot and this game may well save the series.

Just Cause: a rather strange game that still needs a lot of work. Looks a lot like a GTA-clone but the graphics at the moment are still really unfinished. Let's hope they fix that before releasing as otherwise it won't really be worth much

Commandos: Strike Force: not the strategic game anymore the series is known for. You again have three commandos with each their own specialities but now you play in first person shooter view and have to switch between them. I saw the console version and have to say that in comparison with all the new games that are being presented here, it doesn't look so great.

Total Overdose: Think of Serious Sam in third person view, add some Quentin Tarantino action and Mariachi music and you start getting a picture about this game. Graphically things aren't overly fantastic, but this game is purely about fun. Shoot enemies but in the most ridiculous ways, get powerups to be able to do even more whacky moves and add to that bullet-time that makes it even more crazy. Looks really like a fun game.
