UFO: Aftershock is the sequel to the 2003 UFO: Aftermath. It follows from one of the endings of the first title. The player will have to investigate what happened on the Earth surface and fight against new enemies who want the planet for themselves.

The game is a small squad tactical combat and global strategy game (who makes up these names?). It has been improved from its predecessor with features like: resource and base management, new training procedures, diplomacy and improved combat.
