E3 - our third day
Right, way overdue - I know - but here's a small account of what we did on the third day we were here.
Just a small reminder: the second day was a fun-filled and exciting day at the Universal Studio's (doesn't this just sound very American? - everything is 'great' and 'exciting').
We didn't really do anything that evening because we were way too tired and suffering from a little jetlag. But don't you worry about us, we had our fun. We watched ... television !
I can hear some of you thinking out loud: you go to Los Angeles and watch television instead of going out on the town?. Rest assured my dear readers, it's as much fun watching television here then spending an hour standing in line to get into some overhyped club where they overcharge you for a stupid little beer (an American beer by the way, yeuch !).
No, watching television is a delight here, or better put: it's a cultureshock. We saw two 'Jerry Springer' type shows - and I got to say, it's simply amazing how sick some people get just to be on television for a couple of minutes. One of the two shows had invited several young women who had cheated on their husbands / boyfriends. And they were delighted to share that secret for the first time on national television.... Nice huh?

But after laughing with the facial expressions of the poor guys/victims the ladies (I use this term euphimisticaly) were then asked by the showhost to tell their spouses with 'who' they cheated. Disgustingly enough, the 'ladies' had cheated on their boyfriends with... their boyfriends fathers !!! Sounds digusting ? Well hang on, because here comes the finale: the demoisselles were pregnant with the children of their boyfriends/husbands fathers !

Anyway, our third day we spent much of our time sightseeing and scouting the downtown part of Los Angeles. While cruising around Hollywood Boulevard we came across some really famous stars like Pierce Brosnan (James Bond 007), Jackie Chan, Susan Sarandon and even some dead stars like John Wayne and Alfred Hitchcock. Here's me posing with one of my favorite celebrities Hugh Hefner.

After our little get-together with some stars we just cruised around the boulevard some more, admiring the amazing melting pot of cultures and the very up-to-date and avant-garde art that brings about.

But all was not fun and play, oh no, we still had some preparing to do for E3 and thus for you, dear reader. We found ourselves short of some essential hardware... digital camera's. After all, you do like these pictures we post, or not ? (if not, don't worry, we don't care about your opinion anyway ;). t20 and I decided to buy ourselves some brand new cameras and we had to spend quite some time looking for good quality stuff at decent prices.

After that, we walked to Sunset Boulevard, saw it ... and turned back to take the subway to our hotel. It was getting dark and some strange creatures appeared on the streets. And I kid you not... one teenage girl even 'mooned' us... why? I honestly don't know, but my best guess is it had something to do with the powerful and enthising masculinity of these two cool dudes.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe me either. Tomorrow more on our impressions of the first official day of E3.
Peace !
