EA: Holiday season getting a bit crowded

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz EA Redwood Shores general manager Glen Schofield decided to play the Mea Culpa card. He admitted that their release strategy of bulking up for the winter and releasing many titles in the Holiday season was maybe getting a bit old.
He seemed to have realised that games like Mirror's Edge might have done better if they weren't released amongst all those games that were just a little bit better.

It's about time they realise that a lot of people only buy one or two titles during that season and wait for the prices to drop a bit on those other 15 interesting one. It's crazy that from the end of November until mid January you don't know what to play first and for the rest of the year there are maybe three titles that really interest you. ...
