EA: PS3 to outsell X360 this year

Electronic Arts follows Sony in their claims that the PS3 will be catching up with the X360 this year.

An Electronic Arts pdf-file predicting hardware sales for 2008 in Europe and North America states that the company believes Sony's PS3 will outsell Microsoft's Xbox360 this year.

The document details EA's expectation that the PS3 will sell five to six million units in Europe in the 2008 calendar year, while settling the Xbox 360 at 1.5 to 2.5 million units in the region. Both consoles are projected to sell evenly in North America, moving five to six million units each
Not enough to beat the Wii though, EA expects Nintendo's console to sell 12 to 14 million units.

Why? Its already outselling it worldwide on a weekly basis without any of its big games. I'm pretty sure EA know more about this than you do.

I think the PS3 won't match the 360 America, but be close to, and the PS3 will smash it in Europe and Japan and other places. And that will make it beat the 360 worldwide next year.

I want EA to get their act together and put out a solid game. It's going on 4+ years since I was "hooked" on any EA game.
