In what must be the marketing goof of the century, Electronic Arts has managed to violate several US state laws by sending brass knuckles to several gaming journalists as promotion for The Godfather II.

EA has contacted all journo's in question, asking them to return the knuckles to make sure they get properly disposed of.

In California, home of EA, even shipping brass or metallic knuckles may be illegal and is punishable by "imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or in state prison"

So how many laws have been violated here? The representatives that sent out the knuckles are clearly in violation, but some states in the US also see possession of such illegal meaning the journalists who received them may be in violation as well.

What a joke!
