EA and UFC at war

EA vs UFC: who's going to be KO first?
UFC president Dana White has stated last Saturday that Electronic Arts and the UFC are literally at war.

The reason for this "war" is that back in the days, UFC talked with EA Sports and suggested to have a videogame made about mixed martial arts. EA, on the other hand, didn't think twice about the matter as they felt UFC "is not a real sport"

Later on, UFC passed its license to THQ who created UFC 2009 Undisputed which is doing pretty well. Surprise, surprise, thanks to the decent sales numbers, EA has decided to develop their own mixed martial arts game, something White feels as a slap in the face.
"We put our asses on the line, THQ and the UFC, to make a video-game deal in the worst economy in the world," White said. "We go out there and do this thing, and it's successful, and now [expletive] EA Sports wants to do a video game. Really? That's not what you told us a year-and-a-half ago.

"You told us you'd never be in business with us. They wouldn't even take a meeting because mixed martial arts disgusted them. This wasn't a real sport. Boy, they got over that real quick, didn't they?"
Dana White has further stated that any UFC fighter who gives his appearance to the upcoming EA game will no longer be in the UFC:
"You won't be in the UFC," White said about additional fighters who sign with EA Sports
Well, with no real fighters present, I don't see EA Sports really becoming succesful. On the other hand, rumours suggest several have already signed up. Who will win the next round? I guess we'll know soon enough!
